Regular (Time Tracking) Mode

When employees are invited to the Monitask workspace, they will be prompted to download an app to start time tracking. Once they download a Monitask desktop (or mobile) app, they will see a time tracker and start/stop buttons.

Monitask Windows Desktop App

By default, employees will have access to the Monitask dashboard.

On their dashboard, they have limited functionality enabled by default:

• Viewing screenshots
• Reviewing their time data
• Adding manual time entries
• Removing screenshots and time that are non-work-related

Here’s how you can customize their view:

• Restrict screenshots and time removal
  • Navigate to Monitask | Company Settings
  • Select Disallow next to the user
• Restrict adding manual time
  • Navigate to Monitask | Company Settings
  • Select disallow next to the user
• Restrict full access to the dashboard.
  • Navigate to Monitask | Users
  • Click on the edit button (pencil) next to the user
  • Uncheck the setting “Allow Login to Monitask Website”
  • When this option is unchecked, employees can only use the desktop or mobile time-tracking app.

<aside> 👉 By default, employees can track time on mobile apps. Mobile apps do not offer screenshots and activity level monitoring. If you would like your employees only to use Desktop apps, you can disable mobile time tracking on this page: Monitask | Company Settings

Stealth Mode

In stealth mode, employees do not have access to the system and do not know that the app is being used. Note, in stealth mode, employees are not selecting projects/tasks and do not start time clock. Monitask automatically captures time records, screenshots, activity levels, etc., when the computer is online.
